Cultural Moon Teachings & Calendar Events - May

For many Algonquin peoples, the moon for May is "Flower Moon".

For Mohawk peoples, May brings the Sun and Moon Dance. At the Beginning of May to give thanks to the sun and second week of May to give thanks to the moon in the morning and evening respectively. 
May also brings Seed Ceremony in the Middle of May and lasts 1 day; the Planting Ceremony at the end of May.
