Vetted/Approved Online/Downloadable Resources
Teachers (& students) have access to a variety of digital learning services purchased by the Board or the Ministry of Education. These resources meet legislative requirements under the Municipal Freedom of Information & Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA), and can be accessed through the following ways:
1. From the VLC Games & Databases page - look for the symbols 
(locked subscription) & 
(OSAPAC resource)
2. On school computer desktops
3. By request - a listing of resources available from OSAPAC can be found at: https://www.osapac.ca/dlr/ . Direct your request to HelpZone, or through the VLC Ask Us/Demande Moi service.
'Non-vetted' Commercial Apps & Online Software Resources
There are many commercial educational apps and online productivity software resources that make learning fun and engaging for students. Many of these apps can be found for free or a low cost, and require that you agree to terms & conditions prior to use (these are often called 'Click Wrap Agreements'). While use of these education resources is not prohibited, extra care must be taken to ensure that privacy & student information concerns are known, and the use of the tool is in compliance with student information & privacy legislation.
