K-Gr. 6: Send us your work

Introduction

In this box provide a link to the video that you create, or that you have students/teachers create.

This video will:

-tell students, teachers, & parents what is in the guide

-be short (max. 2 mins)

-show enthusiasm

-use 'kid friendly language"

-explain to students why they benefit from using this guide

-explain how to use the guide (main points: databases, websites, games available & how to get a bookmark)

-Ensure that you do not use written words that are not actually read out-loud (this is done in video #2 below).  This is problematic because many of the children cannot read.  Therefore, if you use printed words in your video, make sure that you actual say the words out-loud (as is done in video #1 below when the librarian refers to the catalogue as having "Free" materials and speech bubbles appear simultaneously).

-This video does not have to have an image of you in it!  If you are uncomfortable in front of a camera you can find alternate methods of presenting the information that you want to convey.  See example 2 below.
